On January 19, 2024, Loma Linda Haggerton Riley went to her eternal home and heavenly Father, at the age of 74.  Linda was born on September 6, 1949, in Medina, Texas to Ruth Anderson Alexander and Charles Haggerton.

Linda was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Nana, Great-Nana, and Friend.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Riley, parents, Ruth Alexander and Charles Haggerton; (sister), Punkie Neal, (sister), Mary Ellen, Son in law Rocky Custer and nephew, Mike Riley.

She is survived by her children, Brenda and husband Chris Kirkham, Cindy Custer, Darla and husband Darren Pullin; grandchildren, Justin and wife Colleen, Todd and wife Rissa, Ty, Rocky, Tyler, Kyle and Megan; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Addi, Emily and Zoey; and brother R. L. Alexander.

Linda was a great woman who loved having company at her home in McCoy. You would never leave there with an empty stomach. She loved to cook for her entire crew. She loved making Afghans for the entire family and spent many a time doing word search puzzles. In her younger days, she raised hogs, cattle and lived off the land with her garden. She always would have many companions like dogs, cats and chickens, just to name a few. She loved the outdoors and stayed working in her yard every chance she got.

She will be greatly missed of her great food, stories, and laughter. We are sincerely grateful to the many friends who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss.

Services for Linda will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, starting with a visitation from 9:00 am until 10:00 followed by a funeral service at 10:00.  Burial will follow at Campbellton City Cemetery.
