Lorrie Ann Dye, born on August 24, 1962, in Austin, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2025. She was 62 years old. Lorrie spent her early years enjoying the vibrant life of Austin, where her love for music and dancing flourished. As a teenager, she cherished days spent at Lake Travis, swimming and camping, along with tubing down the beautiful Guadalupe River.

Lorrie's heart was as big as her spirit, and she dedicated many hours volunteering at the Humane Society, where her passion for animals shone through. This kindness defined her character throughout her life. As her health declined, Lorrie found comfort in the simplicity of her home, where she embraced quiet moments and cherished memories.

She is survived by her son, Phillip Henderson and his wife Ashlee; daughter, Gwendolyn Dye; brothers, William Lawhon and wife Cathy, John Christopher Morgan and wife Teresa; sisters, Deborah Kay Wood and Karrie Lynn Nelson; grandchildren, Haylie Dye and Harper Henderson; niece, Kelsi, Kaitlyn and Alexis; nephews, Logan and Christopher; as well as other relative and friends.

A visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home on January 20, 2025, at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 12:00 pm. All who knew her are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and love in honor of Lorrie. Her journey will be celebrated, and her spirit will be remembered fondly.

Her memory will continue to bring joy to those she touched, forever dancing through the hearts of her family and friends.

Lorrie was preceded in death by: father Leeroy Nelson; mother, Sherly Tillman; brother-in-law, Robert Earl Wood and nephew, Aron Wagner.
