Obituary

Louis Barrios Rodriguez Jr.

Louis Barrios Rodriguez Jr., 67, of Leming, Texas, passed away surrounded by his family on October 29, 2026. Born on September 14, 1959, in Leming, Luis spent much of his life there, working as a carpenter alongside his father and brothers, helping build many homes throughout the San Antonio area.

Louis loved animals. He raised chickens and pigeons with his father, loved horses, and especially cherished his hound dogs, Mamma, Ruby, and Scarlett. Above all, Luis loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. He also enjoyed shopping, buying scratch-off tickets, drinking Coke Zero, eating Fritos and playing Spanish bingo with his family.

Louis is survived by his sister, Diana Rodriguez Phipps and husband Ray; his brothers, Roland Barrios Rodriguez and his wife Emma, Ricky Barrios Rodriguez, Rudy Barrios Rodriguez and his wife, Hiedi, and Russell Barrios Rodriguez and his wife, Lisa; his nephews, Chris R. Martinez and his wife, Ryann, Russell Rodriguez Jr., Tristan Luke Martinez, and Elijah Jayden Martinez; and his nieces, Demi Rey Garza, Emily Rose Phipps, Gabriella Rodriguez, Mika Rodriguez, Abigail Rodriguez, and Araci Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Barrios Rodriguez and Luis Robles Rodriguez Sr.

Louis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. He will live forever in the hearts of his family and friends who knew and loved him.
