Obituary

Lucile Georgia Kosub Aigner, age 98, passed away March 21,2022, in Pleasanton, Texas. Lucile was the daughter of Fred and Josephine Kalka Kosub. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister and friend. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church where she and her husband, Harold A. Aigner were married in June 1948. She loved sports, traveling, gardening, fishing and hunting with her husband, Harold.

Lucile was born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 21, 1923, but was raised in Atascosa County. She attended school in Poteet and Pleasanton, graduating from Pleasanton High in 1942. Soon after finishing high school World War II was going on and she was called to work at the San Antonio Arsenal. She resigned there to marry Harold. She worked for Troell Chevrolet Company for many years before going into business with her husband. Lucile and Harold had no children but lived a happy life together. Harold had a stroke in 1991 and was disabled until his passing on November 18, 2006. Lucile cared for Harold during that time making sure they could still travel and enjoy all their hobbies together, especially trips to their beloved ranch.

Lucile is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years and 5 months, Harold A. Aigner, her parents, Fred and Josephine Kosub, six sisters, Stella (Mrs. Alton Roers) Ida (Mrs. Asa Farrer Sr.) Irene (Mrs. Chester Coble) Grace (Mrs. Truxton Gillespie) Josie Kosub and Dorothy Marie Kosub and four brothers, Amos Kosub, David Kosub, Leonard Kosub and Mark (Bub) Kosub and one niece and numerous nephews, and brother-in- law, Irvin Sewell.

Lucile is survived by two nieces Jonette Persyn and Linda Kinkler, four nephews Ric, Sammy, Roger and Tommy Gillespie, sisters-in-law Margie Sewell and Bertha Mann, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind dear friend Terry Hart.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses Rosie, Janie, Becky and Ellie that cared for Lucile and were able to fulfill her wishes to pass peacefully at home.

Services for Lucile Kosub Aigner will be as followed: Visitation will be Thursday, March 31 at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pleasanton, Texas from 3pm-9pm, with the Rosary being recited at 7pm. Mass will be held the next day, April 1 at 11am at St Andrew's Catholic Church in Pleasanton, Texas followed by a funeral procession to St. Joseph's Cemetery in Leming, Texas.
