Obituary for Our Beloved Mother - Lynn Coffey
November 15, 1950 – April 24, 2025

Lynn Coffey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on November 15, 1950, Lynn was a bright light to all who knew her. A matriarch of her family, her life was marked by unwavering devotion to her family, unshakable faith in her Savior Jesus Christ, and a kind and resilient spirit that touched countless lives.

Lynn lived her life anchored in her love and reverence for the Lord. A woman of great faith, she trusted fully in God's will, not only for her own life but also for the lives of everyone around her. Her faith was the foundation that sustained her through every season, and she often testified to God's ability to heal, redeem, and restore even amid hardship. Those who knew her witnessed a living example of perseverance, courage, and grace.

Professionally, Lynn spent many years working in the restaurant industry, where her warmth and hospitality became her trademarks. Whether greeting a regular customer or mentoring a coworker, she made everyone feel welcome and valued. Her hardworking spirit and infectious smile left a lasting mark on all who crossed her path. Even when medical hardships ended her career early, Lynn continued to serve others through her testimony, and serving at her local church, showing what it means to overcome life's trials with faith, hope, and tenacity.

Above all else, Lynn's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was recognizing her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to her three sons — Robert, Kenneth, and Michael — whom she raised with wisdom, unconditional love, and a steadfast example of perseverance. She taught them the values of hard work, compassion, integrity, and faith, which they now carry into their lives and families.

As a Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Lynn's love knew no bounds. She delighted in every moment she could spend with her grandchildren, who brought her joy and pride. Her nurturing spirit, contagious smile, always joking, and making light of challenging situations, through thoughtful words of encouragement, will live on in the hearts of many who knew her.

Lynn also had a special love for animals and all God's creation. She treated every creature with care and respect, seeing them as reflections of the Creator's handiwork. Her reverence for life, both great and small, was a natural extension of her devotion to the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Lynn is survived by her beloved sons, Robert Coon Sr. and cherished Daughter – in Law Sharon Coon, Kenneth Coon, and Michael Coon; her treasured grandchildren; and a host of other extended family members and dear friends. Her absence will leave a profound void, but her legacy of faith, strength, perseverance, and love of God will continue to inspire all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Lynn's life was a true testament to resilience, perseverance, and the hope found in Christ. She taught those around her never to give up, to trust God's perfect timing, and to believe that healing and restoration are always possible. Her memory will be forever cherished, and her example of never giving up or losing faith will be deeply missed.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Lynn's remarkable life will be held on May 4th at 5 PM at the Rossville Community Church in Rossville, Texas.
