Obituary

Lynn Brent Schirmer passed away peacefully at home in Pleasanton, Texas, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on Thursday, July 21, 1960 to Farren Fritz and Betty Joyce (Ohlhausen) Schirmer.

Lynn was raised on the family farm in Southwest Bexar County where his dad and grandmother were born and raised. There he learned the importance of family and the reward of hard work and dedication. Lynn went to school at Southwest ISD and graduated from Southwest High School in San Antonio, Texas. After graduation, he worked a couple jobs until he found his lifelong career at Romco Equipment in San Antonio, Texas. He was a loyal and dedicated employee for over 46 years. Lynn was proficient with computers and loved technology. He taught himself everything he knew and shared his many interests with his wife of 33 years and children. He was a member of the China Grove Church of Christ.

Lynn is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth L. Schirmer; son, Jared W. Schirmer; brother, Larry A. Schirmer Sr. and wife Shelli; sister, Karen A. Duncan and husband Bobby; and sister-in-law Mary Ann (Kotara) Schirmer. Lynn is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Steven H. Schirmer and wife Dana their son Remy; Larry A. Schirmer Jr.; Christian John Schirmer; Holly D. Duncan and her children Emilee and Tristan Kunkel; Alex Duncan and wife Maddie; step-niece Catherine Tredway and her sons Wesley and Gavin Tredway; and step-nephew Mark McDonald and wife Cassey and their children Lyric and Journey; aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, Kim J. (Lamberth) Schirmer; brother Gary F. Schirmer; parents, Farren F. and Betty J. Schirmer; and grandparents, Otelia O. and Fritz J. Schirmer; Samuel A. Ohlhausen and Bertha C. Ludwig.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Pleasanton Church of Christ, located at 1003 North Main St, Pleasanton, Texas, from 3-4PM.
