Manuel "Meme" Castillo Sr. of Pleasanton,Texas passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on July 15, 1941 to Santos Castillo Flores and Margarita Martinez de Castillo.

Meme is survived by his children, Manuel Castillo Jr., Sonia Castillo, Ricardo "Richie" Castillo, Samuel Castillo, Daniel Pablo Castillo, Marco "Tony" Castillo, and Maria Nelly Castillo Flores; sister, Guadalupe Castillo Martinez and Victor; and mother of his children, Lourdes Gómez Castillo. He is also survived by his companion, Aurelia Cantu; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Meme was preceded in death by his parents, Santos Castillo Flores and Margarita Martinez de Castillo; daughter, Elizabeth Castillo Flores; and brothers, Ramon Castillo Martinez, and Francisco Martinez Castillo.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home, from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
