Manuel Ramos, Jr, age 57, of Poteet, Texas passed away on October 7, 2021. Manuel born on January 16, 1964 in Pleasanton, Texas to Manuel Z. Ramos, Sr. and Mary Ramos.

He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Z. Ramos, Sr.

Manuel is survived by his beloved wife, Norma (Chávez) Ramos; sons, Manuel Ramos, III and Miguel Antonio Ramos; daughters, Marcia N. Ramos, Ashley M. Serna and husband Jr., Kristal A. Ramos and husband Aaron, Sarah M. Ramos and husband Taz, Jessica N. Cavazos and Dakota R. Ramos and husband James; grandchildren, Stevani, Daisy, Ashriana, Trey, Genesis, Josh, Jojo, Haleigh, Ezra, Gideon and Elvis; grand puppies, Paxton and Ruby; brother, Oscar Ramos and wife Gabriela, Gloria Mejia and husband Raymond, Sylvia Contreras and husband Jaime, and Anita Villarreal and husband David. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Manuel was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an amazing grandfather. Manuel retired from CECO in 2020, after 38 years of service. Upon his retirement he spent his time ranching, farming and enjoying time with his family. Manuel never met a stranger. He was always there to lend an ear and a helping hand when he knew there was a need. Manuel was always the life of the party, often making heartfelt speeches, and singing and dancing right until the end. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be conducted at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church at 274 Avenue H in Poteet on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral mass to be celebrated on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 am at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, followed by interment at Ramos Family Cemetery at 531 Curvier Road in Poteet.
