It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Garcia Valdez, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, who departed this life on December 22, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on December 17, 1944, in Jourdanton, Texas, Manuel lived a life full of devotion, hard work, and love for his family and community.
Manuel was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Josephine Valdez, a proud father, and a treasured great-grandfather. Alongside his wife, he also owned a small restaurant in Jourdanton, a testament to their entrepreneurial spirit.
An ardent fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Manuel embraced life's simple joys, particularly fishing, and always radiated positivity with his ever-present smile. He was not only a respected leader and role model to his employees but also considered them family, maintaining enduring friendships long after his retirement. His warmth and charm were evident in the affectionate nicknames he lovingly bestowed upon those who were close to him.
