With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marcos Munoz De La O Sr., a devoted husband, loving father and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, at his residence in Pleasanton, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born on April 25, 1950, in Poteet, Texas, to Valentine and Delfina (Munoz) De La O.

Marcos was preceded in death by his daughter, Loretta De La O; parents, Valentine and Delfina De La O; brothers, Juan De La O, Severio Galindo; and sister, Gloria Gonzales.

Marcs is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Oralia A. Garcia; sons, Marcos De La O, Jr. (Leticia) and Andy Peralta; daughter, Priscilla Cavasos De La O; sisters, Mary Garcia, Josie Machado, Delia Sheppard, Betty Garcia, and Geneva Gerdes; grandchildren, Alexandra De La O (David Graciano), Matthew Salazar, Destiny Flores, Desiray Pillado (Joey), Joseph Hernandez; and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Marcos was a charming, caring man of integrity and kindness, known for his strong work ethic and versatile skills. He was truly a jack of all trades. He found joy in simple pleasures like barbecuing and fishing, always sharing his passion with those around him. His family was his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Marcos shared an unbreakable bond with his mother, and her passing left a profound void in his heart. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he constantly showed it. His loving presence will be deeply missed.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Marcos's life will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm. A celebration of mass will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at St Andrew's Catholic Church starting at 10:00 am with burial to follow at St. Andrew's #2 in Pleasanton.
