Maria Inez Jimenez, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the age of 60.  She was born in Crystal City, to Adelaido Jimenez and Jesusa (Medrano) Jimenez on August 18, 1963.

Maria was known for her love of baking, especially her famous banana bread. She found joy in sharing her delicious cakes and pies with her family and friends, creating lasting memories with each sweet treat.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Adelaido Jimenez, Jr., and Juana Escamilla.

Maria is survived by her son, Juan Jimenez (Maria); grandchildren, Isaiah, Elizar, Elias, Robert, Maryjoe, Baudelio, Jazmyne, Ruben and Mary Kate; and great-grandchildren, Ivan, Aria and Alvin; brothers, Augustin Jimenez (Diana), Joe Medrano and Enrique Jimenez (Marion); and sister, Emelia Poston (Danny)

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, starting at 8:00 am, with a reciting of the rosary at 9:00 am and a mass at 10:00 am, all at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Charlotte. Burial will follow at Charlotte Community Cemetery.
