Maria Louisa Munoz, also known as Mary Lou, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Pleasanton on July 5, 1940, to Pedro Trejo Munoz and Antonia (Nanez) Munoz.

Known for her warm heart and generosity, Mary Lou dedicated her career to educating others as a civil service teacher at Lackland Air Force Base. She was a passionate individual who always encouraged and supported those around her. Mary Lou's caring nature and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Willie Holt.

Mary Lou is survived by her brothers, Donato Munoz (Pina) and Pedro Munoz (Denise); sisters, Pauline Holt, Alice Munoz and Cindy Dean (Bill); nieces and nephews, Honey Munoz, Pedro Shane Munoz (Angie), William Grant Munoz (Lisa), Michelle Robinson (Joe) and Tyrine Deatherage; and great-nephew, Michael Deatherage.

Funeral services for Mary Lou are scheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2024, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, starting with a visitation from 11:00 am until 12:15 pm, with a reciting of the rosary at 12:15 pm and mass at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery.
