Maria Elena (Ramirez) Navejar passed away on May 9, 2023, in San Antonio, at the age of 71. Maria was born on February 29, 1952, to Jesus Ramirez and Pia (Carmona) Ramirez.

Maria was a loving and religious woman, who had a large impact on her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Pia Ramirez; brothers, Domingo Ramirez and Eustulio Ramirez.

Maria is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, David Navejar, Jr.; daughters, Rosa Coronado, Carolina Thomas, Brandy Ruiz (Blanca), Candy Coronado (Efrain Hernandez), Pia Maria Coronado and Erica Navejar, Serena Navejar and Deamber Navejar; sons, Luciano Coronado, Jr. (Holly), Reyes Coronado, Javier Jesus Coronado and Angel Navejar; brothers, Joe Ramirez, Pete Ramirez, Marcario Ramirez and Jesus Ramirez; sisters, Gloria Botello (Joe Zepeda) and Paula Moya (John); along with 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Hurley Funeral Home chapel from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm. A mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, starting at 11:30 am, followed by burial at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.
