Maria Morales Reyna, age 88 of Pearsall, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lockhart on July 21, 1929, to parents, Tomas and Valentina (Alvarado) Chavera.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Reyna; her parents; son, Leopoldo Reyna; brothers, Angel Chavera, Carmel Chavera and Thomas Chavera Jr.; sisters, Leonor Vasquez, Erlinda Chavera and Santos Pena.

Maria is survived by her sons, Reynaldo Morales Reyna and wife Soila and Ruben Reyna and wife Rosario all of Pearsall; daughter, Rosa Valle and husband Ruben of Bigfoot; brother, Augustine Chavera of Houston; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment to follow in the Veterans Cemetery.
