Martin Acuna Sr., 54, Poteet, passed away peacefully at his home on February 20, 2023.  Martin was born on November 3, 1968, in Jourdanton.  He was a fun-loving, outgoing friend to all, and was always the life of the party.  He had the biggest heart; he knew everyone, and everyone knew him.  He was a jokester that loved to live in moment, laughing and cutting up with his friends and family.  He enjoyed playing music, dancing, fishing, barbecuing, and of course his beloved Red Skins.  Martin was an amazing father and uncle who will be deeply missed.

Martin is preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou Trevino and brother Mario Humberto Acuna Jr.  He is survived by his wife Brenda Garcia; son Martin Acuna Jr; stepdaughters Miranda Santos (Derrick) and Evelyn Gonzales; brother Paul Estrada (Sylvia); sister Rachel Acuna (Libby); and stepfather Jimmy P. Gonzales.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, with reciting of the rosary at 9:30 am, and funeral mass at 10:00 am all St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church-Poteet.
