Mary Darlene Burdick passed away at her home in Poteet, Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the age of 73.  She was born on August 11, 1950, in San Antonio to John Christian and Geraldine Winn Neal.

Darlene was a devoted wife, mother and granny.  Her nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her husband, children and grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Jack Burdick; children, Craig Payne and wife Lisa, Becky Dorsey and husband Brandon, Brandon Burdick and Brian Burdick; grandchildren, Damon Dorsey, Bailee Stockdale and husband Johnathan and J. T. Payne.

Darlene is also survived by her sister, Barbara Payne and husband Roger; brother, John Neal and wife Becky; sister-in-law, Vivian Neal; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geraldine Neal; brother, Danny Neal and late husband Tommy Dale Payne.

A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Rutledge Cemetery starting at 2:00 pm.
