Mary Louise Pacheco, 75, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023 in San Antonio, TX.  She was born on February 21, 1948 in Pleasanton, TX to the late Redolfo Gonzales and Pascuala Garza Gonzales.  Mary graduated from Pleasanton High School in '67 and went on to Jourdanton Mercy Hospital School of Nursing where she was one of the first graduating classes in 1971.  She spent her entire nursing career working in the Pleasanton area for Dr. John D. Austin and Dr. Gerald Phillips. She was a compassionate and caring person and that is what made her an outstanding nurse but also an amazing mother.  As a single mother, she had a lot to endure but she was willing to do anything to ensure her children were loved and cared for as they were her entire world.  She loved to spend time outdoors relaxing while catching fish, sewing, or in her kitchen baking sweets for her friends and family.  She was a strong and resilient woman that will be deeply missed.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her children, son Joel Lee Pacheco and wife Cheryl Wills-Pacheco, and Lydia Pacheco Gonzales and wife Stacy Gonzales, sister Anita Lambaria and husband Michael Lambaria; nephew J.J. Zamora and Shirley Sanchez; cousin Rachel Gutierrez and Todd McCabe; great nephew Johnny A. Zamora, and numerous extended family.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Hurley, Hunter Hurley, JJ Zamora, Johnny Zamora, George Gonzales, and Joel Lee Pacheco.

All services will be Friday, March 10, 2023 with visitation from 9:00 am-11:00 am and reciting of the rosary at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be at 12 noon at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
