Mary Ann (Marek) Vyvlecka passed away at her home in Jourdanton, Texas on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was born in Pleasanton, on Saturday, July 12, 1941, to Edward and Louise (Jasik) Marek.

Mary Ann enjoyed spending time at home with her plants, flowers, making floral arrangements, and watching birds in her yard. She also enjoyed painting, which she displayed throughout her home. Mary Ann was a beautician for over twenty years, and in her later years, she had a real passion for going to her elder customers' homes and doing their hair.

She survived by her sons, Scot Vyvlecka and wife Rebecca (Christians) and Brady Vyvlecka and wife Lisa (Zidek); daughter, Deanna Burns and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Collin and Faith Vyvlecka, Derek Burns and wife Kayla, and Dylan Burns and wife Annalise; and great- grandchildren, Fallon Kate Burns and Henry Louis Burns. Mary Ann is also survived by her sisters, Lillian (Marek) Cooper, Georgia (Marek) Albert and husband Calvin and Dorothy (Marek) Terrell and husband Don.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stanley Vyvlecka Jr.; sister, Edith (Marek) Carson; brothers, Albert Marek, Johnny Marek and Alfred Marek, and her parents.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting with visitation being held at 11:00 am, reciting of the rosary at 12:00 pm, and funeral service at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery #2.
