Mateo Rodriguez Herrera, was born Wednesday, September 21, 1932, he was 91. He gained his wings on Wednesday, August 21. 2024 at 8:30 in the morning.

He has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. He loved to listen to his Christian music and go to church. Mateo was a good and amazing Christian man, a lovable husband, a wonderful father, and an awesome grandpa who loved God and his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Manuela (Maryland) Herrera; parents, Juan and Eulalia Herrera; brothers, Santos, Enedino, Felipe, and Margarito Herrera Sr; sisters, Teresa Sanchez, and Leonor Chapa, and granddaughter, Cassendra Rodriguez.

Mateo is survived by his children, Tommy Rodriguez and wife Bertha Rodriguez, Ruby R. Huerta and husband Jesse Huerta Sr., and Michael Rodriguez; grandchildren, Maricella Huerta and husband Andres Galvan, David Rodriguez and wife Kathleen Rodriguez, and Jesse Huerta Jr. and Ethan Rodriguez, and great-grandson, Andres Mateo Huerta Galvan.

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 30, 2024. Interment will follow in San Pedro Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Margarito Herrera Jr., and Ethan Rodriguez.
