MELISSA CLARK-RAMSEY
1972-2025
Melissa Clark-Ramsey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 in Pleasanton, Texas, at the age of 52 years of age. She was born on July 31, 1972, a true Leo through and through.
Melissa was a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas, but grew up in Atascosa County. For over twenty years, Melissa worked in education- starting as a Teacher's Aide and eventually graduating with her Master's Degree in Education and teaching High School English for a number of years. She loved classic literature and the Harry Potter book series, and instilled a love of reading in her children and students. She was involved in everything from the Cheer Boosters to the Student Council, she coached dance and cheer for several years, and she was always the loudest and proudest at every Friday night football game.
She adored her eight dogs, and could often be found cuddled up with as many as she could fit on her lap at once. You wouldn't catch her without some sort of Frenchie inspired accessory. She loved a cup of coffee, and loved sitting on her porch with a fresh cup while listening to the rain. She enjoyed shopping, getting her nails done, and wore so much cheetah print that it became her signature look.
She was so in love with her husband Ronnie, who truly was an answered prayer for her. Over the past ten years, they worked to build the life they dreamed of together, spending their time raising their puppies and taking care of their family. They became fishing partners for life, and even got engaged on a fishing trip after a good catch. She loved to dance, and we'd often find them two-stepping in the kitchen. Her nephews were her world, and she would turn up at every stock show, golf tournament, football game, or karate tournament to support and cheer for them. She was so proud of her daughters, encouraging them to explore the world after raising them to be strong women.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Ronnie Ramsey; her children, Kayla Clark, Marah Clark and partner Donovan, Dustyn Ramsey and wife Ivy, and Alexis Mujo and husband Jonathan; her granddaughter, Scottie Ramsey; her parents, Robert and Gail Goslin; her sister, Tonya Rodriguez, and husband Felix; her nephews, Zane and Jaxson Rodriguez; her dogs; and the countless students that saw her as a second mother.
She was preceded in death by her longtime friend and co-parent, Chad Clark.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas, starting with a short visitation at 4:00 pm, followed by a service at 5:00 pm. There will not be a graveside service, a reception will follow.
