Monica A. Cooper, 71, from Poteet, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was born in Perryton, on January 24, 1955, to the late Donald and Patricia Payne.

Monica enjoyed going on long car rides, enjoying the freedom and scenery and when she was home, she loved to scissor doodling.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Billy D. Cooper; 2 children, Kristina Karabinos (Bernie) and Casey Cooper (Edith); 6 grandchildren, Carlee Karabinos, Conner Karabinos, Chloe Karabinos, Casey Dean Cooper Jr., Dax Cooper and Aciano Cruz Escobar Cooper; 1 brother, Ronald Payne; and 4 sisters, Donnett Watson (Dennis), Yolonda Kelly (Kerry), Paula McAdams (Kirby) and Susan Clark (Travis).

At Monica's request, there won't be any public services.
