Monica Ann Rosales, born on September 30, 1942, in Campbellton, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. A beloved mother and cherished grandmother, Monica spent her life embodying resilience and love. She was a vibrant member of her community and dedicated over 35 years of her life as a cashier in the local convenience store in Houston, TX. Her unwavering work ethic reflected her commitment to providing for her family, often balancing multiple jobs to ensure her beloved children had everything they needed.
Monica found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially dancing. Her spirit truly shone when she danced with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter and love. In her younger years, she participated in dance competitions, showcasing her passion for movement and rhythm.
Monica is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Trinidad Rosales; sisters Erlinda Guerra, Trina Noriega, and Minnie Cisneros; brothers Jose Rosales and Juan Rosales. She is survived by her daughters Trina "Tina" Palacios, Cleotilde "Cleo" Lopez and Christine "Crissy" Soto (Jesus); son Martin "Pooky" Martinez Jr. (Irene); brother Pedro Rosales; sister Sally Sanchez; grandchildren Angelica, Wenceslao "Jr", Roman, Melinda, Vanessa, Simon Jr, Holiday, Cruz, Candy, Julian, Santos, Araceli, Ariel, Breanna, Oscar, Hollywood, and Olivia; great-grandchildren Lexus, Ceasar Jr, Xavier, Jazmine, Anthony, Christian, Evelyn, Arron, Layla, Alayna, Jiselle, Samuel, Anissa, Julian, Allison, Jazelle, Alexis, Braylen, Brendan, Aleynah, Anthony "AJ", Hollywood, Heaven, Aubree, Sunny Ray, Summer, Damien, Mia, Oscar Jr, Martin, JJ, Sabastian, Kyler, and Krew; great-great-grandchildren Isaiah, Leonardo III, Azalah, Layella, Aiden, Luca, Camilla, and Ismael; as well as many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
As we remember Monica, family and friends are invited to celebrate her life. A Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on December 4, 2024, at 11:30 AM, preceded by a Rosary at 11:00 AM and a public viewing starting at 10:00 AM. Following the services, Monica will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony that honors her legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
Monica's life was a testament to the power of perseverance, and her loving spirit will continue to resonate with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
