Natalia Calvillo Cruz, beloved mother, and grandmother, passed into eternal rest on December 8, 2023, at the age of 84 in Pearsall, Texas.

Natalia was born July 27, 1939, in Charlotte to Pioquinto Calvillo and Estefana Salas Calvillo.  On June 11, 1958, Natalia married the love of her life, Clyde Felix Cruz, Jr.  They were married 60 years until his passing.

Natalia is survived by daughter, Linda Cruz Garcia and son-in-law, Joe S. Garcia, and daughter, Lisa Cruz Cardenaz; sons, Raul Cruz, Ricki Cruz and daughter-in-law, Melinda, Johnny Rene Cruz, Roland J. Cruz, daughter-in-law, Leticia; along with 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Alcorta and numerous nieces, nephews

Natalia enjoyed gardening, shopping, and her favorite TV show Texas Ranger and her soap operas. She loved spending time with family and friends especially her best friend Cynthia. Her love for animals came at an early age, she adored her cat named Whitey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Felix Cruz, Jr., parents, Pioquinto & Estefana Calvillo, sisters, Olivia Oropeza, Isabel Cordova, Guadalupe Serrato, and brothers, Porfirio Calvillo and Julio Calvillo.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricki Cruz, Willie Garcia, Tommy Garcia, Adam Garcia, Roland F. Cruz, Anthony Salazar, Tomas Jesus Cruz (TJ), and Jeremy Cardenaz. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Rene Cruz, Roland J. Cruz, Raul Cruz, Joe S. Garcia, Aiden Lopez.

A public viewing will be held in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel on Monday, December 18, 2023, starting at 5:00 pm including a rosary at 7:00 pm. A mass will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, starting at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The funeral procession will then proceed to the burial site, at the Charlotte Community Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
