Nellie Ruth Baggett passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born on January 18, 1936, in Victor, West Virginia, to Robert Cavendish and Helen (Rose) Cavendish.

Nellie worked as a dispatcher for the Texas Department of Public Safety for many years. She loved her job, her family, and her pets, finding joy in the simple moments and spreading love wherever she went.

Nellie also had a passion for photography and cherished capturing the beauty of the world through her lens. She enjoyed listening to country gospel music, finding solace and comfort in the uplifting melodies.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert Cavendish and Helen Rose Cornwell; husband, Joe Baggett; brother, Robert Lowell Cavendish; and sister, Wilma Ruth Brooks.

Nellie is survived by her daughter, Helen Osterman (Dan); son, John Norman (Myrna); grandchildren, John Christopher Norman (Brittany), Jessica Rae Thrift, and Dustin Osterman; great-grandchildren, John Remmington Norman, Tinley Norman, Arya Harris and Tariq Harris; and brothers, Larry Cavendish and John Mack Cavendish.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, 2024, starting at 2:00 pm at Chilipitin Cemetery which is located off FM 140 on CR 315 W.
