Nicole Ann Herring was a caring daughter, sister, and friend.  She left this world on March 10, 2021, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Nicole was born to John Herring and Brenda Castanon on May 11, 1973.  She is the oldest sister to Tracy Hennessey and Brock Herring and has four loving nieces and nephews, Jayden, Hudson, Hayes, and Bryn.  After graduating high school from Alamo Heights in San Antonio, Nicole began her college coursework at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.  She later moved back to San Antonio and the surrounding area where she demonstrated her strong work ethic and desire to better herself through balancing both college coursework and employment.

Nicole loved cooking, reading, cross-stitching, and the Spurs.  If you could not easily find her, there was a good chance she was off in a corner reading a good book or taking a long soak in the bathtub, probably reading that good book.  Known for her candy stashes, her nieces and nephews could rely on her to provide them with a sweet treat at any given time.  Nicole had a huge heart for animals, quick to bring home a poor stray if given the opportunity.  It was that same compassion that made her a generous and giving friend and family member, quick to give and quick to forgive.

Nicole's memorial service is scheduled for April 1, 2021, at Hurley Funeral Home in Devine, Texas.  Visitation will begin at 10 am with the service following at 11 am. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
