Ninfa Herrera Padilla, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. It is with deep sorrow we announce her passing on December 31, 2023 at the age of 76, in Houston, Texas. Ninfa Padilla was born in Poteet on November 10, 1947, to Concepcion Herrera and Juanita (Munoz) Herrera. On June 30, 1973, Ninfa married the love of her life, Pedro R. Padilla. They were married 50 years and blessed with five sons, daughter in laws, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Ninfa Padilla was preceded by her parents, Concepcion and Juanita Herrera; brothers and sisters Juanita Ramirez, Catalina Herrera, Jesus J. Herrera, Fidencio Herrera Sr, Concepcion Herrera Jr., and Dominga Herrera.

Ninfa Padilla is survived by her sons Pedro Padilla III, Frank G. Padilla, Michael H. Padilla, Ernest Padilla, Edward H. Padilla and their wives. Grand children Pedro IV, Olivia, Augustine, Isabella, Gabriel, Nathan, Dominic, Emily, Eric, Leila and Easton Padilla plus countless cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.

Ninfa was a devoted homemaker who cherished time spent with all of her family. Ninfa was well known for her green thumb tending to her plants and flowers. She was an amazing cook who enjoyed catering to her loved ones with their favorite dishes. She loved gambling, playing cards, loteria, toma todo, and board games with family and friends. She had the luck at winning, always trying to hit "the big one" on Lotto and scratchers, when she had the itch. Ninfa had the most joyful heart and loved joking and laughing with everyone. She had a straightforward nature, speaking her mind with honesty, love and laughter. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren while instilling values and love that will last a life time.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas.
