Norman Ray Tabor passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at his home in Richfield, Minnesota. He was born in San Antonio on September 14, 1939.  He lived a life defined by his strong commitment to family and his dedication to helping others find their path in life.

Norman was preceded in death by his first wife, Duana, his second wife, Katherine (Kay), and his beloved daughters Cynthia and Denise. His legacy lives on through his loving family: his son Mark Tabor and daughter-in-law Sarah Wisneski, his cherished grandchildren Madeline, Ella, Katherine, and Benjamin Tabor, and his sister Elaine Rutherford.  He is also survived by his nephew Alan (Julie) Bruce and niece Gay (Clint) Carter, and their families.  Norman took great joy in his role as a father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, creating lasting memories and sharing his love with his family.  He will be remembered by his family as a generous and loving man with great stories and an appreciation of his loved ones.

For 42 years, Norman dedicated himself to supporting others in their journey to recovery. His genuine compassion, coupled with his ability to listen without judgment, made him a trusted mentor to individuals seeking guidance. Those who knew Norman well spoke of his exceptional gift for making others feel heard and understood, offering hope and encouragement when it was needed.

Norman greatly valued the strong friendships he developed through AA, his church, and country-western dancing. He had a genuine interest in other people and a charming personality that attracted friends from many walks of life. Most recently, Norman appreciated the new friendships he had developed at Village Shores Retirement Community in MN.
