Ofelia Rodriguez Enriquez of Goldfinch, Texas was born on November 4, 1942, and passed away on July 12, 2 022, at the age of 79 at her residence .

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ildefonso Rodr i guez and Victoria Ponce Rodr i guez, a sister:    Trinidad Rodriguez, brothers: Guadalupe Ponce (Carmelita Sanchez), Enrique "Henry" Rodriguez, Alfredo (Romana Tijerina) Rodr i guez, Alexander Rodriguez, and Raymond Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, twin sisters: Faustina and Jovita   Rodriguez.

Survivors include her husband: Bonifacio A. Enriquez; son: Javier (Maria) Enriquez , daughters: Becky Enriquez of Goldfinch, TX and Eliza Jane (Christopher) Cava z os of Elmendorf, TX and two grandchildren: Israel Enriquez and Abigail Enriquez; sisters-in-law; Linda Santos Rodriguez, Janie Tijerina Rodriguez, M ary Lou Guerra Rodriguez, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home-Pearsall location. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jesus Camacho officiating . Interment to follow in Chilipitin Cemetery, Charlotte, Texas. Reception to follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish Hall in Charlotte, TX.

Pallbearers: Roland Rodriguez, Ricardo Viesca, Ricardo Viesca Jr., Israel Enriquez, Hisac Juarez and Bonifacio Jimenez, Christophe r Cavazos and Alfredo Chico Pruitt III.

Ofelia attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Charlotte, TX and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic   Church in Pearsall, TX. She was a coffee drinker, fire hot Chilipitin salsa eater, and an avid reader. She loved birds, especially cardinals, hummingbirds, and chickens. She was quick witted and known for her great sense of humor. Ofelia's children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Ofelia's kind spirit, humor, joy for family gatherings and zest for life will live on through them.
