Pleasanton, TX - Olivia Gutierrez, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away on November 24, 2023. Born on December 16, 1949, in Pleasanton to the late Jose and Adelia Gutierrez. Olivia brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She was 73 years old at the time of her passing.
Olivia lived a life filled with love and laughter and had a passion for many things. She was a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan, cheering on her team whether they won or lost she still loved her team. Olivia loved to be outside working on her yard, she had a soft spot for Hallmark movies, and she could often be found sitting up on her couch, enjoying their heartwarming stories.
What truly defined Olivia was her joy for life and her sweet and funny personality. She had a magnetic personality, never meeting a stranger that she couldn't strike up a conversation with Olivia had a sense of humor and was a master jokester, always eager to bring a smile to the faces of those around her. She had a straightforward nature, speaking her mind with honesty and laughter.
Family was everything to Olivia, and she cherished the time she spent with her loved ones. Playing games like Dominos and Sorry, she always managed to win all the time until we found out she would cheat putting some of the points under her name she always wanted to keep score she would say oops wrong place and laugh she loved watching Family Feud and the Golden girls with her grandchildren Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds, and she was their biggest fan in every area of their lives. She is preceded in death by her parents; Jose and Adelia Gutierrez sister Lydia Huntington; and brothers Louis and Jacinto Gutierrez.
Olivia Gutierrez's memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Melissa Gonzales(Pablo) her son, Joe Coronado (Olga), and her grandchildren Claudia Coronado, Sarah Coronado, Adam Coronado, Kaye Gonzales, Jacob Gonzales, Jasmine Gonzales, James Gonzales, Angelica Gonzales, Victoria Gonzales and Pablo Gonzales Jr; great-grandchildren Amilia Rose Hinojosa and Analeah McDaniel; brother Joe Gutierrez and sister Diana Ybarra; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and family.
All services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 beginning with a time of visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 am with the reciting of the rosary at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
