Omar Alviso, age 24, passed away in Jourdanton on February 19, 2024. He was born in San Antonio, on November 9, 1999.

Omar was raised in Jourdanton. He went his whole life to Jourdanton I.S.D and  graduated in May of 2018. He then went on to work with " The Feed Pen " also in Jourdanton for many years.

Omar loved animals. He loved his chickens, dogs, turtles but most of all he loved spending as much time as he could with his family and friends. If you truly knew Omar you knew he was a social butterfly. No one was a stranger in his eyes.

He also had the biggest heart. If you needed a helping hand Omar was the first person to call because he was always willing to help anyone that was in need. His smile and amazing personality would brighten up anyone's day. That is why Omar was so loved by so many.

Omar is survived by his father, Daniel Alviso and wife Jennifer; mother, Esperanza Mata Silva and husband Ignacio Jr.; brothers, Daniel Alviso Jr., Gabriel Ignacio Silva, and Isaac Gonzales; sisters, Jenna Judith Pinion and husband Eric, Devin Rae Alviso, Anaceli Alviso, and Sara Gonzales; grandmothers, Rebecca Alviso, and Martha Cruz, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Alviso Sr., Juan Mata Sr., and Andrew Cruz, and uncle, Manuel Chapa.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery.
