It is with great love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Oscar Munoz Vega (69). He peacefully passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at his home in Charlotte, Oscar was born on Monday, August 3, 1953, in Poteet, to Miguel Vega and Cresencia (Munoz) Vega.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Reyna Vega; parents, Miguel and Cresencia Vega; brothers, Ralph Vega, Arturo Vega, Ray Vega, Pete Vega, Mike Vega, and sisters, Oralia Perez, Esperanza Zuniga and Alicia Medrano.

Oscar is survived by his loving daughters, Brandi Vega-Villalobos and husband JJ Villalobos, Jennifer Reyna Lopez and husband Michael Lopez; sisters, Ofelia Salazar, Inez Gallegos, Gloria "Lupe" Briseno; grandchildren whom he adored are Glori Reyna Villalobos and Joseph Nathaniel Villalobos. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In his younger years he enjoyed fishing hunting and game fowl and in his later years he mostly enjoyed family time and cooking for his family. He will always be remembered as the life of the party - he loved making anyone around him laugh. His first impression was everlasting. His legacy will live on through his daughters, sons-n-law, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home, Pleasanton. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Charlotte Community Cemetery.
