Patsy Richardson Head passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2023, surrounded by her children. Patsy was born December 19, 1934 in Elmore County, Alabama to Benjamin and Ada Richardson.

She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in nursing. While working as a registered nurse, she met the love of her life of 60 years, George Carroll Head, while caring for his father in the hospital. The two were married and spent their early years growing their family and traveling the world while George served as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

In addition to being a devoted wife, Patsy was a loving mother and grandmother,
who was always interested and involved in her children and grandchildren's activities. Patsy enjoyed reading, baking, and watching University of Alabama and Auburn University football games (Roll Tide!), but most of all she enjoyed doing these things and so much more with the people she loved. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her siblings, her husband George and her beloved daughter, Julie Head.

She is survived by her son, George "Butch" Head II (Maureen) of Beeville and daughter, Susan Webster (John) of Pleasanton, her grandchildren Camille Webster, Emily Head and Taylor Webster, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patsy's family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation to her caregiver, Leticia Hermosillo, who Patsy referred to as her guardian angel and to the amazing team at Trinity Hospice.

A funeral service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Pleasanton City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ty Hartley, George Gaddie, Stephen Gaddie, Joshua Gonzalez, Casper Ringelstein and Cross Ringelstein. Honorary pallbearers will be George Harris Gaddie and Leonard Hartley.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patsy's honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to Atascosa Animal Allies.
