Paula Qualls, an Activity Director for senior living, was born on December 20, 1966 in Mississippi.  She passed away on August 23, 2023 at the age of 56 after suffering a heart attack.  She was a loving mother of six and a wonderful wife.  She is survived by her husband Dwayne Qualls; daughters Courtney Taylor (Adam), Lori Rubio (Mark), Marissa Ramirez (Eric), Kimberly Heinen (Jared); sons Cody Qualls (Jacquie) and Jose Juarez; grandchildren Conner Rios, Lincoln Taylor, Jordyn Taylor, Jacob Moctezuma, McKenzie Guzman, Kailee Heinen, Jonathan Heinen, Joshua Heinen, Matthew Juarez, Xavier Ramirez, Robert Ramirez, and Makayla Ramirez, and Trinity Paredes; great-grandchildren Kayson Moctezuma, Pablo Mitchell, Carter Ramirez, George Manzanares, and Myla Rodriguez; brother Don Ramshur (Jan); sisters Ann Wisely (Stoney) and Marie Ramshur.

Paula was an avid supporter of senior's mental health and rehabilitation.  She loved performing fun and engaging activities that brought sparks of life back to those who needed it the most.  She was a bright light for many around her and always had a smile for everyone she encountered.  She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, baking and cooking, gardening, and spoiling her pitbull (Dallas).   She will be missed by many.  Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, TX, followed by her burial at Jourdanton City Cemetery.
