Pedro "Pete" Garcia, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. He was born in Poteet, TX on February
23, 1946 to Felipa and Clemente Garcia.

Pete was predeceased by two daughters, Abby Gail Parker of Las Vegas, NV and Rosanne Ruiz of San Antonio, TX.

He is survived by two daughters, Delma Jean
Mansanarez of Roswell, NM and Amanda Oliver of Boerne, TX along with one grandson, Amos Patrick
Parker, and several granddaughters, Amber Parker, Valaree Mansanarez, Andrea Mansanarez, and
Kinley Jade Ortiz. Son in laws are Patrick Parker of Las Vegas, NM, Andrew Mansanarez of Roswell, NM,
and Michael Oliver of Boerne, TX.

Pete loved anything to do with chickens, roosters, Poteet strawberry fests, family and friends. Pete had
an affinity for eating baked fish and playing lottery tickets. You would often see him with one or the
other. He also loved reminiscing about his high school career, playing football as a starting quarterback
for the Poteet Aggies. One look at his knees would confirm that he gave it all he had on that field. Pete
also had the gift of gab, walking into a room and finding someone who would listen came easy to him.
Leaving a room without a new friend didn't ever happen and that's a gift he passed onto a few of his
grandchildren. Pete will be remembered fondly as a kind and caring man, one who loved people fiercely.

A memorial for Pete will be held at Hurley Funeral Home on May 19, 2023, from 6-8pm with a prayer.
