Ralph L. Martinez, 66, passed away on January 10, 2023 in Corpus Christi, TX at his residence.  He was born on August 23, 1956 in Pleasanton, TX to Margarito G. Martinez and Elida Limon Martinez.  Ralph joined the United States Army in 1974.  After being honorably discharged he began working as a contract Pipe Fitter.  This took him to numerous places but landed him in Corpus Christi where he fell in love with the coast.  He enjoyed bodyboarding, fishing, and just relaxing by the water.  He looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with his siblings and nephews.  He enjoyed hanging out with his friends in the VA at the Corpus Christi Adult Daycare Center bonding over stories and memories of time spent in service.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert L. Martinez, and Rudy L. Martinez. He is survived by his son James Martinez and his wife Ashley, and Daniel Martinez; grandchildren: Carter, Camden, and Cooper; brothers: Gilbert L. Martinez and wife Betty, Richard L. Martinez and BurtAdam L. Martinez; sisters: Erlinda L. Martinez and husband Ernest, Aurora L.  Martinez, Josie L. Martinez, and Juanita L. Martinez., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the reciting of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home.  Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet, with burial at First Memorial Park.
