It is with unbridled sorrow that we announce the death of Raul F Nunez, cherished husband, loving father, and devoted grandfather who was welcomed by his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 7th, 2025.

Raul was born on October 13th, 1964 to Herlinda Villarreal and Raul Nunez in San Antonio, Texas, where he grew up and met the love of his life, Paula.For anyone who knew Raul, it was easy to say he was a man of few words. That was because he was a man of only action, of dedication, determination, and promises kept. He was an unstoppable force of a man, more often than not, refusing to accept assistance or quit until a task was completed. He carried with him a quiet wisdom that not only put those around him at peace, but ensured his loved ones that they were taken care of at all times. His weathered hands, rich with the lessons learned through years of hard work, were always ready to welcome the embrace of his family after another long day. He found his happiness in praising God each day, calling his Valentine, and seeing his grandchildren flourish before his eyes.

Raul is survived by his wife of 37 years, Paula Nunez; daughter, Gabrielle Mangum along with son in law, Christopher Mangum; and grandchildren, Daisy Belle, Brock Ulric, and Brody Bjørn Mangum. These, along with countless other family members and friends, commemorate Raul's life as a man who left an everlasting impression on their hearts.

Raul was preceeded in death by his daughter, Jenise Nicole Nunez, who he has now happily joined in the heavenly realm and has a lifetime of catching up to do.

A celebration dedicated to the life of Raul F Nunez will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd, starting at 5pm until 9pm with a service at 7pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas. All are welcome to come reminisce, share fond memories, and honor the beautifully full life lived by such remarkable man.
