Raymond Maldonado Luna, born on September 27, 1948, in Charlotte, Texas, passed away at the age of 76 on April 8, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. Raymond proudly served his country as an Army Vietnam Veteran.

He began his career with CPL Central Power & Light as a connect-and-disconnect service worker and retired as an underground lineman. After retiring, Raymond enjoyed relaxing at home in his recliner and watching television with his Shih Tzu, Chico. He also loved listening to and attending David Lee y Los Musicales dances, going to the beach, camping, and trying his luck at the Las Vegas slot machines.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Luna; his children, Raymond (Tammy) Luna Jr., April (Victor) Andrada, Kara Luna, and Barbara Ann Luna; his grandchildren, Alyssa Luna, Andrea Pickett, Justen Luna, Jakob Luna, Peyton Garza, and Jenna Andrada; his great-grandchildren, Alexander Luna, Paisley Parks, Arianna Iruegas, and Jeremiah Luna; his siblings, Gloria Luna Padron and Maria Elena Elizondo; and, of course, his pride and joy, Chico.

Services for Raymond are scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, starting with a visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, a celebration of mass at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon at the Jourdanton Civic Center.  On Thursday, April 17, 2025, a graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery starting at 9:00 am.
