Raymond M. Meyer Jr., 90, of Floresville, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023.  He was born on August 24, 1932 to Raymond Meyer Sr. and Edna Moehrig Meyer.  Raymond was a proud,  hardworking Christian man.  He was a rancher who took pride in what he did and never wasted daylight. He served in the United States Army.  Raymond spent many years on the Atascosa County Texas Farm Bureau Board of Directors as well as a Texas Farm Bureau State Director.   Most importantly, he was a loving Husband, Father and Papaw.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edna Meyer; beloved wife, Anna Meyer; grandson, Garrett Johnston; and sister-in-law, Lucille Meyer.

He is survived by his brothers, Luther Meyer and Ralph Meyer and wife Cindy; son, Ray Meyer; daughter, Wanda Noah and husband Steve; grandchildren, Samantha Sprague and husband Stephen Jr., and Andrea Meyer; and great-grandchildren, Stephen Foster Sprague, III and Theodore Rex Sprague.

A visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, Pleasanton from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will be Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at  St. John's Lutheran Church in Jourdanton, Texas.  Interment to follow services at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Jourdanton, Texas.
