My favorite thing was when dad's eyes disappeared when he laughed or smiled because of something I said. This is a picture of him laughing while walking me down the aisle in 2014. I have no idea what I said to make him laugh, but I'm glad I said it. Love ya bunches Daddy.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Buddy (Raymond Norris Jr) who left us too soon. Buddy passed peacefully on January 12, 2026. He was born in Alice, Texas to Raymond Norris Sr. and Margaret Faye Norris.

Buddy's family moved when he was two years old from Freer to Seguin, Texas. He grew up in Seguin and began his adult life employed in several different fields. He was an Emergency Medical Technician with Palmer Mortuary in Seguin and was employed with Terrain King also in Seguin. Later he moved to Corpus Christi and was employed by McEvoy Oilfield Equipment Company which led to his employment with ExxonMobil Company USA. In 2005 Buddy retired from Exxon. No sooner had Buddy retired he began his own business contracting lease operating for Enerquest Oil and Gas and Rickaway Oil.

Buddy loved fishing at Lake Mathis and Choke Canyon Dam. He also loved hunting at his deer lease in Freer with family and friends enjoying every moment.

Buddy was kind and generous and loved his family and friends dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Polo and Ella Kramer, sister, Radeen (Garry) Wright, and brother-in- law, Joe Kramer.  Buddy is survived by his fiercely loving children, Ray (Emily) Norris, Robert John Norris, and Stephanie (Charles) Ferren. Grandson, Dustin (Lara) Norris and great grandson, Carson Norris, also his very dear to his heart sister-in-law, Lucille Ceccopierri, ex-wife, Martha Kaiser, numerous brothers/sisters-in-law and precious nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Buddy also leaves behind his feline companions Buffy and Bailey whom he loved immensely.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Jourdanton Methodist Church in Jourdanton, Texas
