Reva Emily Bowers Ledesma passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in San Antonio at the age of 61.  She was born on October 18, 1962, in Pleasanton to John Monroe Bowers and Mary (Davila) Bowers-Gomez.

Reva was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of many. She loved her trips to Vegas and was known for her love of all things Elvis. Reva had an incredible Elvis collection.  Her love of music also included AC/DC, which she always enjoyed sharing her passion with others. Her compassionate nature especially shone through in her work as a nurse, where she dedicated her time to caring for others.

Family was at the center of Reva's world, and she cherished spending time with her sisters, and extended family. She was a talented baker, especially renowned for her treats during Halloween and Christmas gatherings. Reva's warm personality and giving spirit meant that she was loved by all who knew her.

Her fondness for General Hospital and engaging in conversations with everyone she met showcased her outgoing and friendly nature. Reva's hard work, genuine friendship, and strong faith defined her character.  She was a loving wife, mother, and a friend to all who knew her.

Reva was preceded in death by her father, John Bowers; and sister, Mary Katherine Bowers.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Bowers-Gomez; loving husband of 33 years, David Ledesma; daughters, Nicole Emily Huron, Lauren Mariah Ledesma and Rebecca Ledesma; grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Hernandez, Ruben John Hernandez and Rhea Gonzales-Ledesma; one great-granddaughter Hernandez that is on the way; Godson, Josiah Escamilla; sisters, Angie Vasquez, Rosemary Garza and Lydia Delgado; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

A visitation for Reva is scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2024 in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel starting at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  Mass will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church starting at 10:00 am followed by burial at Davila Cemetery, located on FM 476 and Reyes Lane.
