Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Austin Imming Sr., who left this world on February 5, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on January 19, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, Richard spent much of his life in Poteet. He dedicated a significant part of his career to City Public Service, where he proudly served as a gas trouble man, earning respect for his hard work and commitment.

Richard was a man of few words, yet he had a firm presence that commanded attention. His playful spirit shone through in his love for pranks and laughter. He had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing, and watching hummingbirds and deer.

Family was everything to Richard. He is survived by his son, Richard Imming Jr.; daughter, Laura Imming and their children; sisters Linda Joyce Young and Sheri Lee Linn. He cherished every moment spent with his grandkids and loved them immensely.

Richard was outspoken and honest, always speaking his mind, yet he had a heart of gold. He was a devoted Cowboy fan and a huge John Wayne admirer.
