Richard Lynn Strong was born on May 10, 1960 to Al and Rexene Strong.  He grew up in Pearsall and graduated from Pearsall High School in 1978.  He spent his life serving the Pearsall community.  Richard was a Master Mason and past Master of Frio Lodge #399.  He was truly known as everyone's best friend.  He had a smile and laugh that could light up any room.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Al and Rexene Strong and infant brother, Rex Lynn Strong.

He is survived by his children, daughter and her fiancé Jayme Gibson and Wes Cline; daughter and son-in-law Shelbi Strong and Jon Mendoza; son Dakota Strong; the mother of his children and best friend, Shanna Gates; brother and sister-in-law Allen and Dorothy Strong; grandsons Ayden Neal and Knox Mendoza; nieces and their husbands, Dehlia and Michael Wallis; Crystal and Val Carroll; and his special, little buddy Gizzy.

Richard will be greatly missed by his family and the friends who he all loved so much.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Pearsall.
