Ricky Bernal, Jr., passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the age of 22.  Ricky was born in San Antonio on January 18, 2001, to Ricky Bernal, Sr. and Maria Ann Leon.

He was preceded in death by brother, Angelito Santos; his maternal great-grandparents, Romanita Flores Barrera and Daniel Barrera, Sr.; and his paternal great-grandparents, Romana Bernal and Emilio Bernal, Sr.

Ricky is survived by his son, Anthony J. Bernal; parents, Ricky Bernal, Sr. and Maria Ann Leon; brothers, Mario Lozano and Christiano Santos; sisters, Maricela Lozano and Aracely Santos; maternal grandmother, Romanita Urdiales (Paul Diaz); maternal grandfather, Frank Leon, Sr. (Otilia); paternal grandmother Dalia Bernal; paternal grandfather, Emilio Bernal, Jr. III; aunts and uncles, Frank Leon, Jr. (Jolene), Paul Urdiales (Alondra), Frances Leon, Stephanie Leon, Emilio Bernal, IV (Valerie) and Andrew Bernal (Raquel); along with numerous extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Pleasanton City Cemetery.
