Obituary

Robert Gerardo Miranda went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the age of 59. He was born December 8, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas to Manuel and Mary Sue Miranda. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula of 21 years, and his parents Manuel and Mary Sue Miranda.

Robert graduated from St. Philips College with an Associate of Applied Science with a focus in Radiology Technology in 1992. For the last 30 years, Robert was employed by the Methodist Hospital, M&S Imaging/Baptist Hospital, as a Lab X-Ray, MRI Tech, and currently as a Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) Administrator for all of Bexar Imaging/WellMed. He was described by co-workers as fun loving, charming, good sense of humor and easy going.

He loved sports, was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Astros; watching games, listening to a variety of music and BBQing for family was his favorite pastime. He also supported his children in all their extracurricular activities, (football, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer and band.)

He is survived by his daughters: Erica Miranda, Gayla Watts (Tre), Alyssa Miranda (Brent), Shelys Miranda, Lauren Miranda, Natalie Miranda; sons: Mark Cruz and Robert James Miranda; grandchildren: Markie Cruz, Citali Cruz, Alyvia Swan and Cade Johnson.  Mr. Miranda is also survived by his brother and sisters, Manuel Miranda (Patti), Patricia Miranda and Phoebe Medina (John).  In-laws, Albert and Marie Gholson. Memorial will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, 118 W. Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton, Texas 78064.
