On November 8, 2023 Rosa Herrera died peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family, friends, love, and beautiful memories.

Rosa was born on February 25, 1964 to Antonio and Rosa Lopez of Christine, TX where she grew up and raised a family of her own.  She enjoyed reading, dancing, gambling, and bringing joy wherever she went.

She leaves behind her three beautiful children, daughter, Debra Lee Alaniz, son, Valdemar Herrera Jr, and daughter, Briana Laquita Herrera and wife Larissa Denice Garcia; grandchildren, Ashton James Garcia, Gisselle Leann Garcia, Valdemar Herrera Jr III, Jayden Pilar Herrera, Jasmine Nicole Garcia, Ayden Jericho Alaniz, Xzyris Ivan Herrera, and Zavian LeeAngel Garcia; siblings, Antonio Lopez Jr and wife Sunday Ochoa, Hector Lopez and wife Dolores Lopez, Martha Garcia and husband Luis Garcia, Dominga Samaniego, Ermalinda Martinez and husband Benito Martinez, Elena Lopez, Mary Alice Lopez, and Adelaida De Leon and husband Armando De Leon.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Rosa Lopez, husband Valdemar Herrera, sisters Leticia Rodriguez and Gloria Delgado, and son-in-law John Martin Alaniz.

All services will be held at Mount Calvary Church, located at 304 9th St Christine, TX 78012, on Friday, November 17, 2023, beginning with a time of visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed immediately by funeral services at 2:00 PM.  A luncheon will be held at St Ignatius Catholic Hall at the conclusion of services.
