Roy H. Rodriguez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Thursday, October 10,2025 at 3:06 am, peacefully at his home surrounded by family.  He was born on December 28, 1950, to Pedro and Marta Rodriguez in Rossville, Texas.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Marta Rodriguez; father and mother-in-law, Juan and Manuela Alaniz; brothers, Frank Rodriguez and Jose Reyes Rodriguez; sister, Celia Ramos; son-in-law, Raymundo Ybarra, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Rafael Alaniz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Alicia Alaniz Rodriguez; sons, Roy Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Noemi, Peter John Rodriguez and wife Anna, and Rene Casanova and wife Jackie; daughter, Cynthia Rodriguez; sisters, Olga Hernandez and Elisa Falcon; brothers, Johnny Rodriguez and Edwardo Rodriguez; along with 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy, at age 18, started a career in construction with Ceco Construction. Known as "El Chivito", he traveled through many states and even lived in Florida for a period of time.

When Roy was not working, he enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, camping, creating wood projects and spending time with the grandkids, he also enjoyed his yearly trips to Fort Worth to spend time with his family.

Roy was a hardworking, yet simple man, and would drop everything to help anyone in need, and he was loved by so many.

Dad, it's not good-bye, it's "see you later!"
