Ruth Yvonne Phillips, age 85, of San Antonio passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. She was born in Devine, on Friday, January 13, 1939 to Jim D and Mary Jewel (DuBose) Mangum.

Ruth loved her church, gardening, traveling, cooking, fishing, long drives in the country and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Etta Howser; two daughters, Wyndy Ricketts and Nancy Baez; and one son, Kevin Phillips. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Scott D Phillips and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. Please reach out to family members for location address. The family welcomes any memories you wish to share at the memorial.
