Samuel Blake
Lambert
Mar 4, 1982 — Jul 28, 2023
Pleasanton
Samuel Blake Lambert, 41, passed away on July 28, 2023, in Pleasanton, Texas. He was born on March 4, 1982, in Pearsall, Texas, to Jay and Rona Lambert.
He was one of 4 children and though they didn't always see eye to eye, he loved his sisters and brother. Life was not always easy for Blake, but he survived the trials and tragedies with hope, love, laughter and became a stronger person and a good hearted, kind, and loving man in spite of them. Blake loved his family and was there whenever someone needed help.
Blake loved his wife and was a great support and encouragement to her. He loved his 4 kids and would do anything for them. Blake loved football, coaching his three sons in little league and cheering them on throughout middle school and high school. He was so excited for this year when Evan would be a volunteer coach and Isaiah would be playing. Becoming a Papa was one of the greatest events in Blake's life. He was proud of Valde, Rilynn, and Tori for working hard to be good parents and hard workers. He was thankful for the 5 grandchildren they blessed him with and loved playing with all of them. Blake was excitedly anticipating the arrival of the 6th grandbaby in December.
Blake was a very thoughtful, loving, kind, and loyal man, not only with his family but with friends. He was willing to help in any way he could. He looked forward to the annual Father-Son hunting trip with his Dad and brother every year in September. Holidays and family get-togethers were something he looked forward to never hesitating to bar-b-que because "his was the best".
Blake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Sammy Lambert and Jerry Foster; sister, JoAnna Lambert.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Stephanie Lambert; sons, Evan Lambert, Isaiah Lambert, and Valde Valdez; his only daughter, Tori Valdez; daughter-in-law, Rilynn, grandchildren, Brielle, Ezekiel, Zayla, little Valde, and Alijah; parents, Jay and Rona Lambert, siblings, Trisha & husband, Randy Gentry, Brent & wife Kristen Lambert; grandmother, Joyce Foster; nieces, Kelsey & husband, Peyton Cowart, Kayleigh & husband Grant Tillery, Abbie, Allie, Karter, Lanie, and Beckett; grandnieces, Avery and Emmy along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the First Baptist Church Pleasanton starting at 12:00 p.m. All flowers will need to go directly to the church. Thank you.
