Seferino Elias
Leija
Jan 14, 1966 — Aug 16, 2024
Pleasanton
Seferino Elias Leija, 58, of Pleasanton was born on January 14, 1966, in Mexico, and passed peacefully with family by his side, after a year and a half battle with cancer, on August 16th, 2024, in San Antonio Texas.
Seferino is preceded in death by his parents, Esperanza and Simon Leija.
Remaining to honor his memory and celebrate his life are his daughter, Samantha Alberti (Bo); his son, Diego Leija; grandchildren, Ezra Alberti and Brenden Alberti; brothers, Javier Leija (Aracely), Joe Leija (Celia); sisters, Hortencia Arizpe (Cesar), Lydia Savage (Paul), Lettie Leija Fuentes (J.R.), and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Seferino, better known as Seff or Hammer, was a truck driver for a little over 20 years and it was one of his favorite things to do. He had traveled many places around the world and was so ready to get back to it. He loved to stay busy and be on the road.
Aside from truck driving, Seff was very proud to be a grandparent. Being promoted to "Pipaw", was one of his greatest accomplishments.
Seff put up a tough fight with his cancer and did his absolute best, that anyone could ask for. He would want us to remember him how he was prior to the sickness - funny, loud, and full of life. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but never forgotten. He will always be with us.
Honoring Seff's life, a visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Services will conclude at the chapel.
