Sexto Rodriguez Lopez, an adventurous soul and free spirit, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 75. He was born on April 6, 1950, in Tilden, Texas, to Magdaleno Lopez and Marcela (Rodriguez) Lopez.

Sexto's love for travel took him to many places, allowing him to experience the world and meet all kinds of people. He had a love for life, always smiling and sharing his passion for singing, which brought him lots of joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leno Lopez, Andres Lopez, Santiago Lopez and Pablo Lopez; sister, Monesta Luna; and brother-in-law, Rufino Palacios.

Sexto is survived by his brother, Ramon Lopez (Odelia); sisters, Isabel Saenz (Roel), Andrea Ubrina (Alejandro), Minnie Lopez, Lucia Palacios, and Frances Serrata (Alex); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to honor Sexto's life will be held on January 9, 2026, at Hurley Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Tilden, Tx. All are welcome to join family and friends in remembering and celebrating Sexto's legacy.
